Both beautiful and highly disturbing indeed! Apparently it got popular on tiktok recently but a lot of people who are discovering it that way are just writing it off as shock value slop, which is a real shame considering the deeper context found within the story, not to mention the fascinating story of the animated film production itself. Makes me sad when people just write something off as bad without giving it a real chance.

I am not completely sure what club penguin is but someone else said this reminded them of neo pets. I can only assume it is from the uniform line-strength in many places due to drawing with a mouse and my use of full black, which could make it resemble flash-based web interfaces. But this is all on a single raster layer!

Reply: well that makes sense since Jetter Mars is basically astro boy and megaman is inspired by astro boy… also fun fact: astro has a brother named cobalt!!

I hear you. On the other hand, at the end of the day, parents are just people too. Some will react like Mateja's dad, some will be on the opposite end of the spectrum. This is something we cannot control - what we can do is try to play the best possible game with the hand that's been dealt to us. Find a way to be our authentic selves as much (or as little) as possible given the current circumstances.

Sorry for that bit of random rambling, guess I just wanted to say thanks for the review!
